It’s here!!!  Clearing the Clutter Sunday is this Sunday January 15th starting at 9:00a.m. CST. til 12:00 p.m.

and..You are cordially invited to meet with us  for three amazing and productive hours of Clearing The Clutter!!

What will you choose to work on?  If you’re like me, you might choose to get rid of paperwork and clutter from 2011.

2012 is a new year with new energy and I do not want to bring in anything from the old that does not support my new intentions and desires.  How about that  jewelry drawer that has not had a good going over in years?  Can you really get to that darling necklace easily and effortlessly or must you spend countless minutes detangling that ball of chains?  Ah, yes you’ve been meaning to really declutter and polish up your car–this is a perfect time to do that (and, by the way, what is that smell?)

Anyway, we have been doing this once a month for that last couple of years and we have a great time.  So, plan on joining us…and plan for Clearing the Clutter Sunday.  What might you need?  Containers?  Trash Bags?  Cleaning Supplies? Are you organizing next years Christmas Decorations?

This is also a good time to remind you how having less can get you more (of what you really want).  How?  Nature abhors a vacuum.  Nature will fill up a void.  That is a Universal Law.  We purposely create a void with the intention of filling it with that which we desire.  Dorothy wanted her lover to come back.  She emptied drawers and created space in her garage for her lover’s car.  She intentionally created space for her lover to return.  The Universe supported her in her desire by filling her garage with her lover’s car and her closet with her lover’s clothes.  Yes, it does work like that!  When our homes and lives are filled to the brim with clutter and such..it is like putting a huge No trespassing sign on our front door that tells the Universe to pass us by because there is no room for the new–no room for our dreams–no room for our heart’s desire here.

So, join us this Sunday at the top of the hour for about 10 minutes and then at the top of every hour until noon..we’ll do some tapping-tell a few joke–experience a few blessings and energy transmisions.  Get your best shake your booty music together and join us–2012 is gonna be just what we make it!! ;o)

Be good to yourself–it’s a journey.

The Importance of Self-Esteem and our interview with Dr. Joe Rubino

I thought I pretty much knew about self esteem and self worth.  Right?  Like, it’s important to feel good about yourself and care for yourself.  I noticed a lot of young people declare they have good self esteem but what I really saw was an extreme self absorbed ego in play.

More and more these days I see that real self esteem is a critical key element for success in life and, perhaps, more importantly happiness.   How did so many of us end up with self esteem and self worth issues?  I include myself in this category now because the more I study and research the subject the more I see its tentacles extend into many areas of my life.

How did we get here?  What are some of the origins for this lack of self worth and self esteem?  Yes, it’s roots begin in childhood.  Maybe some of us were physically abused-the old spare the rod spoil the child belief.  Some of us may have been verbally abused over and over-reminded that we were never good enough just the way we were.  Maybe, there were so many children in your household that you weren’t even “seen.”

Whatever the reason, it set you up as an adult to sabotage your own happiness.  Perhaps you are a risk taker or gambler.  Several years ago I risked our retirement on a business that, in retrospect, I have to say “What was I thinking?”  Perhaps you find yourself a shopaholic because you only feel good o r alive after a few purchases. What about some poor choices in relationships?  Do you find yourself too trusting of other people or just the opposite (too cynical?)  Maybe you avoid the dentist..simple basic care of yourself.  Are you prone to depression or anxiety?  Or do you bounce back and forth between the two? It is my belief that this lack of self esteem and self worth can manifest in a myriad of ways in our adult life.  All ways we learned in childhood that we weren’t good enought or worth taking care of ourselves or didn’t deserve to have a real and good life.

It’s time to start believing in ourselves again.  Believing that we are children of the Divine and heirs to all there is.  It’s time to take some time to reflect on our chilhoods and see how those roots got started, watered, and nurtured.  And, it’s time to heal these old wounds for us and for our future generations.  It can stop now.  Let there be peace and healing  in this area and let it begin with me.

I want you to listen to our podcast Life With the Girlfriends where we inteview Dr. Joe Rubino who has made it his life’s work to help elevate self esteem in children.  It’s an hour but it is soo worth it.  My inner child’s spirit soared while we were interviewing him.  I have found that in this life “what is most personal is universal” and if I am feeling this self esteem issues -I know you may be, as well.

Worry-What is it good for? Absolutely Nothin’..

Hello Lovelies,

Worry.  Yes, worry.  How much of your time do you spend in it?

I believe this is a very good question to ask ourselves these days.

Sure, you may have very good logical rational reasons for your

worrying but is it really good for you?  First, is your worrying accomplishing

anything productive?  Second, does the worrying reflect your faith in your

life?  Probably not.  Also, we now know that worrying puts toxins into the body

that lower your immune system and make you more vulnerable to a host of

infections.  Also, worry blocks the flow of good things into your life and it can certainly

muddle your results when you add worry, fear, lack, poverty consciousness into

the equation.  Worry may be merely a program you learned at a very young age.

If you learned it–you can unlearn it.  For sure.

Take a reflective look at all the places you find yourself in worry during the day..,I guarantee it will be an eye opener.

One of my good friend’s favorite quote is this, “If you worry,why pray?  If you pray, why worry?”

Not a bad quote.  Greg Bradden in his book The Isaiah Effect: Decoding the Power of Prayer speaks to this very issue.

The power of a prayer of thanksgiving and praise keeps the brain happy and the soul in joy.  Let’s stay in joy and thanksgiving–just for today.
